Profile

A practitioner first. A researcher second. Always a teacher.

Dr Jennens graduated from the University of Waikato with a Master of Social Sciences majoring in Zoology and Psychology, then completed a doctorate at Murdoch University on dog attacks on livestock.

In 1990 he founded AMREX — at one stage the largest private dog training and behaviour organisation in Australia — and has since published, lectured and consulted across the field. After many years in Perth and Brisbane, he now practises in Sydney.

Services

Two practices,
one practitioner.

Most clients come for in-home consultations or the puppy program. Authorities, solicitors and conference organisers engage Dr Jennens through the advisory practice.

Approach
Behaviour problems are rarely about the animal alone. They live in the household, the routine and the relationship. Treatment has to as well.
